The Hometown Illinois Radio Network began in 1983, providing stations across
Illinois programming from special events thru-out the year.

The network currently provides stations reports from:
- The Commodity Classic in February
- The Illinois State Fair in August (locally customized)
- The Illinois Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in December
(customized for each region)
The network is a division of the Miller Media Group,
which is responsible for station affiliation and advertising sales.
